VICTORIAS City – Ten men, five goals, and absolute dominance. Don Bosco Technical Institute (DBTI)-Elan Vita stormed to the NORFA Champions League Under-17 crown with a resounding 5-1 demolition of Dolphins FC in the final here over the weekend.
The hosts were relentless from start to finish. After conceding an equalizer early in the second half and losing a defender to a red card, DBTI-Elan Vita refused to fold. Instead, they tore apart Dolphins FC’s backline with three more goals to put the result beyond doubt and send their home crowd into celebration.
The championship performance echoed their semifinal massacre, where DBTI-Elan Vita annihilated Negros Occidental High School (NOHS), 13-0, in the most lopsided scoreline of the tournament.
Dolphins FC had to grind their way to the finals, relying on Miguel Carmona’s lone goal to slip past Bago City FC, 1-0. Bago City later redeemed themselves by thrashing NOHS, 5-0, to claim third place.
With DBTI-Elan Vita’s statement win, this year’s NORFA Champions League once again underscored its role as Negros Occidental’s premier grassroots battleground—one where young footballers sharpen their skills and prove their mettle under pressure./PN
