Dead twins found in Kenya

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko believes hospitals and clinics dump the bodies after performing abortions. GPS

KENYA – This country’s authorities said the bodies of two babies – thought to be twins – were found during a clean-up of a river in the capital, Nairobi.

This was the eighth such discovery in recent months.

Officials believed the bodies were dumped in the city’s rivers as a result of abortions, which were illegal in most cases in Kenya.

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko called for an investigation.

They found the babies’ bodies in a plastic bag. One was still breathing but could not be saved.

Sonko believed hospitals and clinics dumped the bodies after performing abortions.

Together with eight babies, four dead adults were found during the exercise to clean-up the city’s rivers. (BBC)
