ILOILO — A delivery rider died while undergoing treatment at a hospital on Friday morning, October 16, a day after his motorcycle crashed along an ongoing road repair project in Barangay Barosbos, Carles, Iloilo.
The 33-year-old alias “Nonoy,” a resident of the town’s Barangay Cabilao Pequeño, succumbed to severe head and body injuries at the Jesus M. Colmenares District Hospital in Balasan town.
According to the Carles Municipal Police Station, the fatal incident occurred at around 6:20 p.m. on October 15, when the victim lost control of his motorcycle while traversing the under-construction section of the road.
Responders from the Carles Emergency Response Team and local police immediately rushed to the scene and brought the rider to the hospital, where he underwent medical treatment before passing away the following morning.
The victim’s remains have since been transferred to a local funeral home./PN
