BACOLOD City – The Provincial Heath Office (PHO) recorded 41 deaths due to dengue in Negros Occidental.
Provincial Health Officer Ernel Tumimbang said the records covered the period January to Oct. 7.
Ten of these deaths are from this capital city, the PHO records showed.
San Carlos City and Hinigaran have four deaths each, followed by Bago, Kabankalan and Sagay cities with three deaths each, and Victorias City with two.
Meanwhile, the towns of Calatrava, Ilog, Pontevedra, Pulupandan, San Enrique, and E.B. Magalona and the cities of Cadiz, Himamaylan and Silay recorded one death each.
The PHO records further showed that all 31 cities and towns in the province have dengue cases.
Bago City has the most number with 356 while the lowest is in Candoni town, with only three./PN
