BACOLOD City – Police were still verifying if a man died of drowning in Barangay Patic, Pulupandan, Negros Occidental.
The 69-year-old resident Eduardo Maghari was found dead floating in a creek around 3 p.m. on Thursday, police said.
He was last seen around 9 a.m. that day, police added, citing witnesses.
Mahari sustained a wound on the left side of the head.
He was believed to have fallen from a cliff while he was fishing, said the police.
