GUIMARAS – Jump into the rich tapestry of the island province of Guimaras by exploring a bounty of locally-sourced and sustainable products at the Manggahan Agri-Eco Trade Fair 2024.
The fair officially kicked off on May 3 and will run until May 22 at the provincial capitol grounds.
As one of the highlights of this year’s Manggahan Festival, the agri-eco trade fair showcases the very best of the province’s agricultural bounty particularly its renowned Guimaras mangoes, artisanal crafts, and unique culinary flavors.
Over 70 microbusinesses are offering a vast array of locally-produced goods – from mouth-watering delicacies to beautifully crafted handmade arts.

Adding a splash of color to the fair, the Guimaras Cutflower and Ornamental Plant Producers Association hosted the “Blooms and Colors: A Cutflower Day” event.
A professional florist demonstrated the craft in an interactive Centerpiece Arrangement Challenge and shared tips on the principles of flower arrangement.
Additionally, a Philippine native plants advocate imparted knowledge about native plants and trees and how they can combat climate change, and help members grow cutflowers and ornamental plants.
On May 15, the fair paid tribute to the backbone of Guimaras’ economy — the farmers and fisherfolk.
Over 500 farmers and fisherfolk gathered to celebrate Farmers and Fisherfolk Day with fun-filled activities including traditional games, skills competitions, and cultural performances like the binalaybay (poetry) and composo (folk song) competitions. The event also featured the search for Mr. and Ms. Farmer Festival.
Also, several projects and livelihood packages were handed to farmer and fishery groups such as swine and goat production.
Last year, the Manggahan Agri-Eco Trade Fair revenue reached around P30 million./PN
