MANILA – Distribution of the second tranche of the government cash aid to qualified beneficiaries may start this week even as the distribution of the first one was not yet completely finished, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said.
During Tuesday’s regular Laging Handa public briefing, DSWD Undersecretary Rene Glen Paje said the distribution of the first tranche of Social Amelioration Program (SAP) aid still needs “finishing touches.”
According to Paje, beneficiaries under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program will receive the aid first since they already underwent a deduplication process. Afterward, the distribution will proceed to areas that also completed the validation. (GMA News)
