ILOILO City – The Department of Health (DOH) in Region 6 launched yesterday a 14-day self-care “Quarantime Journal” containing day-to-day recommended activities for people in isolation due to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Director Marlyn Convocar said this journal is the initiative of the DOH-6 Code Team Reintegration. It aims to promote good mental support and resilience to those affected by the viral disease.
“For me, reintegration is the core of mainstreaming all those who are in quarantine facilities or wherever you are. Quarantine days should not be boring. It should be enriching and very productive by doing this,” she said.
The journal, she said, will physically and mentally prepare them when they return to their respective homes.
The recommended activities include reading of Bible verses, reading inspiring quotes, physical exercises, mind games, and listening to music, among others.
A soft copy of the journal will be posted online daily at the DOH-6 Facebook Page while hard copies will be printed by local government units to be distributed upon the arrival of individuals to be quarantined in various facilities./PN
