DOH grants 1,500 drug-testing kits to Aklan State University

Kalibo, Aklan – The Department of Health has provided around 1,500 drug-testing kits to the Aklan State University (ASU). 

Ramel Buncalan, president of the Aklan Baghay (Bagong Buhay) Incorporated, said they welcomed the initiative in making the state university a drug-free institution.

The distribution of the testing kits for the faculty and students is currently up to the ASU administration.

Atty. Flosemer Chris Gonzales, vice chairman of the Provincial Advisory Council for Police Transformation and Development, said they have partnered with ASU for the implementation of the program which was also supported by the Association of the Municipal Health Officers of the Philippines, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council./PN
