DOLE awards first Capiz BPO Safety Seal Certification

CAPIZ – The Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office No. 6 through its Capiz Field Office (CaFO) awarded the first ever Safety Seal for Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies in the province of Capiz.

With 1,326 employees, ePerformax Contact Centers Inc. is the first and the only large-scale business process outsource company in the province qualified to receive the award after passing the inspection on Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSH) and the DOLE-DTI COVID-19 preventive measures on the spread of COVID-19.

ePerformax Contact Centers Inc. Vice President Michael Allan Tanner who received the Safety Seal Certificate from Regional Director Atty. Sixto T. Rodriguez, Jr., emphasized that securing a safe and healthy workplace is a significant aspect of their commitment in protecting the welfare of their employees.

The Safety Seal Certification is a voluntary certification scheme which affirms that an establishment is compliant with the minimum public health standards set by the government and uses or integrates its contact tracing with Staysafe.ph.

Regional Director Atty. Sixto T. Rodriguez, Jr. recognized the efforts of ePerformax Contact Centers Inc. in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment despite the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Regional Director also encourages other companies to comply with the health standards and secure a Safety Seal Certificate that manifests their moral responsibility of providing safe and healthy workplaces.

DOLE issues the Safety Seal for manufacturing, construction sites, utilities (electric, water, gas and air conditioning supply, sewerage, waste management) information and communication companies (private publication, news, movie production, TV and radio companies) and warehouses./PN
