THE newly-built Capiz Provincial Science and Technology Center (PSTC) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region 6 was inaugurated on Dec. 1. This is a pre-event activity in-line with the virtual celebration of 2020 National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) in Region 6 set on Dec. 2-3.
The simple event was graced by DOST-6 Regional Director, Engr. Rowen Gelonga joined by Capiz Provincial S&T Director Gerbe Dellava, CAPSU President Dr. Editha Alfon, and CAPSU Roxas City Campus Administrator, Dr. Ma. Dorothee Villaruz.
The Capiz PSTC is set as an environment-friendly facility. In the next few months it will be installed with the rain water harvesting, solid waste management and solar panel systems.
“Although we have a very small building, we made sure that we have the necessary facilities aside from our offices in order to deliver our services to our clients effectively and efficiently.”
He made sure that the purpose of the Capiz PSTC is not just a roof above the employees and personnel but a place where DOST will be closer to the clients.
The event was conducted online via Facebook live and Zoom. The Capiz PSTC is specifically located within the CAPSU Main campus. (DOST6-KMU)
