Hotel101 Global Holdings Corp., a subsidiary of Philippine-listed DoubleDragon Corporation, has signed definitive binding agreements for a country-wide development partnership in Egypt, kicking off with the construction of the approximately 750-room Hotel101-Cairo West project.

This expansion marks a significant milestone in the company’s global growth strategy, bringing its novel, globally standardized condotel business model to one of the Middle East and Africa’s

most dynamic capital cities and a major cultural tourism gateway. Egypt recorded over 19 million tourists in 2025 alongside an estimated population of 118 million.

Slated for completion by 2029, Hotel101-Cairo West is expected to generate a total project value of approximately 5.465 billion Egyptian pounds (US$102.09 million or roughly P6.44 billion). Once completed, it is projected to rank among the top three largest hotels by room count in the whole of Cairo.

The property will occupy a 15,984-square-meter (1.59-hectare) prime site in Hay Al Ashgar along Ahmed Zewail Road in 6th of October City, Giza. Situated roughly ten minutes from the Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), the location provides strategic connectivity:

* Positioned along Ahmed Zewail Road with direct links to El Wahat Road and the Cairo Ring Road, offering easy access to Sphinx International Airport for both domestic and international travelers.

* Sits within the West Cairo growth corridor, balancing modern urban infrastructure with strong cultural tourism demand.

Consistent with Hotel101 properties worldwide, the 4-star development will feature standardized modern rooms, 24/7 reception, all-day dining, swimming pools, a full-size gym, a business center, a children’s playground, ample parking, and luggage storage. It will also feature a ballroom, extensive meeting spaces, and a conference center tailored for business events.

DoubleDragon Corporation continues to scale its unique asset-light, prop-tech condotel concept globally under its vision of achieving 1 million uniform Hotel101 rooms across 100 countries.

The brand’s international momentum follows strong performance metrics, including a record-breaking single-day performance exceeding €100,000 at the newly opened 680-room Hotel101-Madrid in Spain. Hotel101 Global is also preparing for the scheduled December 2026 opening of the 482-room Hotel101-Niseko in Hokkaido, Japan.

Marking 2026 as its most active year for room openings, adding a total of 2,229 rooms across Madrid, Davao, Cebu, and Niseko, DoubleDragon’s total assets currently stand at P246.04 billion, with its global expansion initiatives projected to serve as a major future dollar-inflow generator for the Philippine economy./PN
