Drug peddler nabbed in Arevalo

ILOILO City – Around 35 grams of suspected shabu worth P238,000 were confiscated from a suspect in an anti-narcotics operation at 8:18 a.m. yesterday, December 13, on Sunset Boulevard, Barangay Sooc, Arevalo district.

The subject, identified as alias “Peryong”, 48, a resident of Barangay Sta. Rita, Oton, Iloilo, was tagged as a street-level individual.

The successful operation was carried out by the Iloilo City Police Office’s (ICPO) Police Station 6.

Western Visayas’ top cop, Brigadier General Jack L. Wanky, commended the relentless and intensified campaign of the ICPO against illegal drugs.

“Despite our successful operations, we will not stop until those who were identified and with evidence that are involved in the illegal activity are brought to jail,” he said.

The suspect is now under police custody and will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
