ILOILO City – A peanut vendor was arrested in Monday’s anti-drug operation in Barangay San Pedro, Molo district.
Rirchie Buenavista, 49, was a resident of Barangay Tanza Esperanza.
Suspected shabu worth P122,000 was recovered from him around 11:50 p.m., according to personnel of the Police Regional Office 6’s (PRO-6) Drug Enforcement Unit.
Police said Buenavista was a drug surrenderer. In 2019, he enrolled in a rehabilitation program at the PRO-6 and graduated after a year.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 would filed against Buenavista./PN
