ILOILO City – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 6 is eyeing to open 19 Negosyo Centers in the region.
Six centers – three each – will be established in Aklan and Antique, while Capiz will have two. Guimaras will open one more center and Iloilo and Negros Occidental will each have five.
In a press release sent by DTI, the Negosyo Centers are established to further provide services to the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the region. Its services include “business mentoring services, information on market and access to funding,” which are expected to “bring in business opportunities to communities and countryside development.”
The DTI also said overseas Filipino workers have a special lane at the Negosyo Centers.
At present, Western Visayas has 31 Negosyo Centers. (With a report from DTI/PN)
