Duterte may fire another gov’t official

The Philippine HIV-AIDS Act aims to establish the Philippine National AIDS Council, which will ensure the country’s effective implementation of measures that will stem the spreading of HIV and AIDS.

MANILA – President Rodrigo Duterte may fire another government official when he gets back to Malacañang from Davao City.

The President made the remark on Thursday during the inauguration of the Davao River Bridge Widening Project.

Sinabi ko naman sa inyo noon…do not talk to anybody especially my family, my wife, my daughter, my sons or any relatives of mine, kapatid, huwag kang pumayag makiusap sa inyo,” Duterte said.

The President earlier fired Transportation assistant secretary for railways Mark Tolentinto for allegedly dealing with Duterte’s sister.

“That has always been my warning and so sali lahat. I might fire another one pagbalik ko sa Malacañang. And sadly lahat, ‘yung halos karamihan were my appointees and my friends and who were with me during the mayorship days,” Duterte said.

On May 15, Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque said Duterte also ordered the resignation of Justice assistant secretary Moslemen Macarambon Sr. and Public Works assistant secretary Tingagun Umpa over corruption allegations./PN
