MANILA – President Rodrigo Duterte appointed a new Sandiganbayan associate justice, a document released by the Palace on Wednesday confirmed.
In an appointment paper dated June 8, 2018 but was only released on Wednesday, Duterte named Ronald Bautista Moreno as a Sandiganbayan Associate Justice.
Moreno replaces Alexander Gesmundo who was appointed by the President as Supreme Court Associate Justice.
Moreno, formerly a Makati judge, was chosen over Makati Regional Trial Court Judge Gina Bibat-Palamos, Sta. Cruz, Laguna RTC Judge Divinagracia Bustos-Ongkeko and Ligao, Albay RTC Judge Edwin Ma-alat.
Duterte also appointed Aldwin Alegre as deputy commissioner at the Bureau of Immigration, replacing Aimee Torrefranca-Neri. (ABS-CBN News/PN)
