Duterte suspends PCSO games due to massive corruption

Manila – Citing massive corruption, President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered the suspension of all Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) games beginning on Saturday.

Duterte said on Friday evening that the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) are enforce his order to all PCSO gambling operations such as lotto, Peryahan ng Bayan, Keno and small town lottery.

“I have today ordered the closure, the stoppage of all gaming schemes of whatever nature however done that got their franchises to do so from PCSO,” President Duterte said.

“The ground is massive corruption involving all, pati the courts who issued repeatedly issued injunctions to paralyze the government and to allow corruption to thrive,” he added.

“I am ordering the PNP, PNP Chief Albayalde, to arrest anybody, and goes also for the military, to arrest people engaged in gambling activities in connection with the franchises, licenses, concessions granted by the PCSO,” he said.

The President has also instructed the removal of gaming and gambling materials of the PCSO gaming schemes in public areas in the next 24 hours starting on Saturday morning.

“I will not honor transactions that are clearly on the side of scheming people of the Republic of the Philippines of the money due to… puro dayaan lahat at yung mga kontrata ay parang crafted in favor of corruption and to favor other corporations,” he said.

“As of today, I will not honor any order from any court stopping us or enjoining us to stop our desire to go into a massive investigation for the massive corruption that is existing in the PCSO,” he added./PN

    . What power has this president here in the province. None. The mayors do what they want.
