GOOGLE tells me that Scrooge McDuck has an “estimated net worth at $315.36 quadrillion” making him a good role model for Elon Musk.
The only concern in that possibility is that Scrooge is usually thought of as a greedy miser with the one interest of making money. There is no suggestion of him ever spending that money.
The Musk money, US$1,000 billion, is hard to imagine but a few billion here and there for medical research would be a good way to shake off any potential Scrooge McDuck comparisons.

Science goes silly but not cheap
Scientists have done so much to make our lives better and there is so much more to do. But occasionally they go rogue and this might be such a case.
T.rexs died out about 66 million years ago and even Google says you can’t get DNA from fossils, a fact that would have made Jurassic Park a much shorter film.
However, a purse made of T.rex leather is up for sale for about $500 thousand, which seems expensive but given the shortage of real T.rex leather might be reasonable.
The reality, however, from my years of school science teaching is that this isn’t possible although a purse costing $500K should also be impossible. A $10 purse will do the job and from there this may just be an exercise in vanity and gullibility although purses are not my area of specialty.
Perhaps this $500K could be given to one of the food bank charities to feed a lot of hungry souls and the scientists could return to real work.

Misheard?
The United States President was booed at the National Basketball Association finals, or at least on my TV but he said it was mostly cheers. I
Shouldn’t criticize, given my fading hearing, but then it doesn’t really matter if I miss something.
He seems to have misheard the 2000 election results as he still believes he won, others don’t think this.
He can’t seem to hear or acknowledge the cries of pain and sorry in the Middle East or Ukraine and other places of sadness.
The more worrying matter is that he won’t listen to his advisors or the team of supporters that always seems to be standing behind him. Admittedly many of them are in charge of areas where they have no experience or knowledge.
Many politicians don’t listen to the voters which really means they aren’t truly part of a democratic system.
America and many other countries allow free speech and opposing viewpoints, it’s just a pity they aren’t heard.
Consider the likelihood that your personal voice will be heard, that is if you are allowed to speak, and will your views be considered./PN
