BACOLOD City – A drug offender was working in the office of the mayor of Escalante City, Negros Occidental.
Rundel Agabon, 43, of Barangay Balintawak, Escalante City was charged with violating Section 5 (sale) of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
No less than Mayor Eddie M. Montero turned Agabon in to the police around 3 p.m. on Thursday when he learned that the suspect had a pending arrest warrant, said Chief Inspector Rollie Pondevilla, officer-in-charge of the Escalante City police.
Agabon was detained at the Escalante City police station.
Regional Trial Court Branch 57 (San Carlos City) Judge Danilo Amisola issued the arrest warrant and recommended no bail./PN
