BACOLOD City – A 60-year-old man got mauled in Barangay Balintawak, Escalante City, Negros Occidental at around 3 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 17.
Ermie Agustin of Barangay Sitio Proper, Escalante City stopped his motorcycle to answer a call from his cellular phone.
According to the police, suspect Novem Longakit, 31, allegedly attacked the victim without apparent reason.
The unconscious Agustin was taken by the Escalante Rescue Team to Vicente Gustilo District Hospital. His injuries were treated there./PN
