EX-JARO VILLAGE CHIEF FALLS IN DRUG BUST

ILOILO City – Noemi Jablo, former barangay captain of Desamparados, Jaro district, was arrested in an antidrug operation Tuesday.

She and another Desamparados resident, 30-year-old Alton Guirjen, were accused of selling suspected shabu.

Jablo, 47, and Guirjen sold a plastic pack of the substance to a poseur buyer for P3,500 in Barangay Ungka II, Pavia, Iloilo at 4:20 p.m., a police report stated.

Further recovered from the suspects were five plastic packs of suspected shabu weighing around 10 grams, P10,000 cash and a cellphone.

Jablo and Guirjen face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. They were in the custody of the Pavia municipal police station as of posting time./PN
