BACOLOD City — A 46-year-old former Philippine National Police (PNP) officer was arrested for allegedly stealing a motorcycle at around 1:10 a.m. on November 19 in Barangay Cabug, Bacolod City.
Authorities said the victim, identified only as alias “Jofranz”, 19, had parked his red-and-white Suzuki Raider FU motorcycle in front of his residence when it was reportedly taken by the suspect.
The arrest was carried out by personnel of Police Station 9 (PS9) in coordination with the security guard of DECA Homes Subdivision. The suspect was apprehended in Barangay Cabug, and the stolen motorcycle was recovered and positively identified by the victim.
The suspect, whose name is being withheld by authorities, is now in the custody of PS9 for proper documentation and the filing of charges for violation of Republic Act 10883, orthe Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016./PN
