ILOILO City – Police arrested a man for alleged extortion.
But they may file additional charges against Noe Cordero after they found a homemade firearm from him.
Cordero was arrested in Barangay San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras in an entrapment operation at around 9 a.m. on Sunday, a police report showed.
The 34-year-old resident of Barangay Tinadtaran, Buenavista, Guimaras was taken to the Jordan police station.
A homemade 12-gauge short firearm with a live bullet on its chamber and an 11.5-inch knife were seized from him.
Cordero also faces a charge for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
