ILOILO City – A farmer faces a charge for illegal possession of a firearm.
Police arrested the 57-year-old Sebastian Gargalicano in their barangay of Santa Rosa in Guimbal, Iloilo.
Barangay Kagawad Roldan Piojo called the police upon seeing the suspect carrying a firearm, a police report stated.
Responding officers recovered from Gargalicano a .38 revolver with five bullets.
The farmer failed to show pertinent documents proving his legal ownership of the weapon.
He faces a charge for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Gargalicano was hauled to the lockup cell of the Guimbal police station after he was caught at around 9:20 a.m. on Oct. 28./PN
