BACOLOD City – A farmer was found in Barangay Candumarao, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
He was identified as 35-year-old Benjie Carpio, a resident of Barangay Calapi, also in Hinigaran.
Carpio was found beside a sugarcane plantation with multiple hack and stab wounds on the body around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, the report stated.
Officers from the municipal police station were still investigating the death./PN
