TEAM Recycled, a Germany-based dance crew led by its Filipino founder and creative director Jeff Jimenez, wowed judges of “America’s Got Talent” (AGT) Season 20.
In the premiere episode of the talent show’s newest season, Team Recycled, a group made up of diverse members, delivered a spectacular dance routines that surprised “AGT” judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel and Sofía Vergara.
The group received a standing ovation from the three judges who can’t hide their admiration for the group’s powerful dance number.
“It’s perfect for season 20. And I’ll tell you what, it just grew and grew and grew, using the whole room. This is the biggest stage in the world. You used more than the stage, you used the room and that was amazing,” Mandel said.
“This is how you achieve great things by doing great things. Seriously, for me it was perfection because when it first started, oh Christ, it’s just a few people on stage and then it just turned into an event,” Cowell said.
For her part, Vergara said: “It was perfect. It had everything. The element of surprise. I was like Simon at the beginning ‘oh this is going to be cute.’ But no, it became spectacular.”
Meanwhile, judge Mel B, who said “no” to the group’s performance, challenged the Team Recycled to prove her wrong in the next round.
According to the Spice Girls’ member, she found the choreography at the start boring.
“Listen, Team Recycled, we’re going to see you again. So prove me wrong,” Mel B said. (ABS-CBN News)
