AKLAN – The body of a fisherman was found floating in a fishpond in Barangay Tugas, Makato town around 11:15 a.m. on Monday, August 12.
The 38-year-old Joel Tumanon, a resident of the aforementioned barangay, allegedly drowned after suffering an epilepsy attack, according to the Makato Municipal Police Station.
Makato police said the victim went to the fishpond alone to get shells on Sunday night, August 11, and he was not able to go home thereafter.
His worried family looked for him on Monday morning and found his remains in a fishpond.
Police said the victim’s family was convinced that there was no foul play on Tumanon’s death./PN
