Fisherman hacked in Jaro

ILOILO City – A fisherman had been hacked in Barangay Buhang, Jaro district.

The 53-year-old Danilo Pabuaya of Barangay Ermita, Dumangas, Iloilo had hack wounds on the head and left chest, a police report showed.

Pabuaya was taken to the West Visayas State University Medical Center on E. Lopez Street, Jaro.

Police learned from the hospital that the hacking happened at around 5:45 p.m. on Sunday.

The suspect was identified as the 47-year-old Rafael Jagodilla, a driver from Barangay Buhang, Jaro.

Drunk and armed with a 19-inch bolo, Jagodilla allegedly attacked Pabuaya who was binge drinking with friends, police said.

The Jaro police arrested Jagodilla and hauled him to their station’s custodial facility./PN
