Fugitives of Cebu, Leyte nabbed in Negros Occ.

BACOLOD City – Two most wanted persons in Cebu and Leyte were arrested in separate police operations in Negros Occidental.

Renato Apable alias Nato, 44, of Barangay Kawit, Medellin, Cebu province was caught at around 2:45 p.m. on Sept 20 in Hacienda Zaldariaga, Purok Tres Marias, Barangay Campo Himoga-an, Sagay City.

Apable was listed as Top 4 most wanted person of Medellin. He had standing warrants of arrest for the following:

* theft (two counts) – issued by Presiding Judge Cornelio Jaca of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court (Medellin, Cebu) on Feb. 4, 2003 with a recommended bail bond fixed at P6,000 for each count

* violation of Republic Act 7610 (two counts) — issued by Presiding Judge Antonio Marigomen of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 61 (Bogo, Cebu) on Oct. 30, 2002 with a bail bond fixed at P200,000 for each count

Meanwhile, at around 3:10 p.m. on Sept. 20, police operatives arrested Aahron Paul Serato, 20, in Barangay Payao, Binalbagan.

Serato was listed as the Top 6 most wanted person in Merida, Leyte.

Judge Maria Corazon S. Vergara-Naraja of RTC 8, Branch 47 (Ormoc City, Leyte) ordered the arrest of Serato who was charged with rape on Nov. 12, 2019.

The court recommended no bail bond for Serato’s temporary liberty./PN
