Fuel retailers yesterday announced mixed movements on pump prices of petroleum products, marking the third straight week of increase for gasoline.
In an advisory, Petron Corp. and Shell Pilipinas Corp. said it will hike prices per liter of gasoline by P0.47, while rolling back those of diesel by P9.57, and kerosene by P13.30.
Oil industry sources earlier projected increases of up to P4 per liter for gasoline, and rollbacks of up to P8 per liter for diesel this week, following the movement of global prices.
Firms last week hiked prices per liter of gasoline by P2.21 and diesel by P2.66, while rolling back those of kerosene by P3.53.
This brought year-to-date adjustments to a net increase of P46.44 per liter for gasoline, P51.82 per liter for diesel, and P54.46 per liter for kerosene as of May 5, 2026. (GMA News)
