ILOILO City – In a barangay in Calinog, Iloilo, a 13-year-old girl claimed a neighbor raped her.
According to Sonia (not her real name), it was April 13 in the afternoon when a 34-year-old neighbor went inside their house and molested her.
The suspect reportedly threatened to harm her should she tell her family and relatives about the rape.
The suspect was arrested and now detained in the lockup cell of the Calinog police station.
He will be charged with rape in relation to Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act).
Police investigators were waiting the medical examination result of the girl to file the criminal complaint./PN
