BACOLOD City – A gold-medalist boxer who represented Negros Occidental in the Philippine National Games and Batang Pinoy was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Old Sagay, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
Sagay City police caught Arnold Jetajobe, 22, around 5 p.m. on Thursday.
He was a suspected courier of illegal drugs, a police report showed.
Jetajobe admitted to the crime and said he did it for money.
Fourteen sachets of shabu valued at P3,500 and P300 marked money were recovered from Jetajobe. His cellular phone and P120 cash were also confiscated.
Jetajobe quit boxing two years ago and had been working as a vendor in the city, police said./PN
