ILOILO City – Thousands of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across Western Visayas are set to gain easier access to government services, financing opportunities, business mentoring, and skills development as the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 6 rolls out the second year of its BIZCONEX on Wheels roadshow this July and August.
The regional initiative aims to bring vital government assistance directly to entrepreneurs in the provinces, eliminating barriers to business support while strengthening MSMEs — the backbone of the region’s economy — through capacity-building, networking, and market expansion opportunities.
BIZCONEX on Wheels is an initiative of the Regional Development Council (RDC) Region VI through its Economic Development Committee (EDC), with DTI-6 serving as the primary implementing partner. The program is designed to bridge the gap between MSMEs and government services by providing entrepreneurs with direct access to business opportunities, financial institutions, industry experts, and educational resources needed for sustainable growth.
The roadshow will visit five provinces across Western Visayas under the following schedule:
* July 14, 2026 – Antique
* July 23, 2026 – Aklan
* July 28, 2026 – Guimaras
* July 29, 2026 – Capiz
* August 7, 2026 – Iloilo
Each stop will gather representatives from government agencies, financial institutions, business mentors, and industry experts who will provide on-site assistance and practical guidance tailored to the needs of MSMEs.
Participants will also attend workshops and learning sessions covering innovation, sustainable business practices, financial management, effective financial oversight, and strategies to improve market competitiveness. Government agencies will likewise showcase programs and services that entrepreneurs can immediately access to help expand and strengthen their businesses.
Apart from government support, the roadshows will also provide networking opportunities where entrepreneurs can exchange ideas, establish partnerships, and explore potential business collaborations that could further enhance their enterprises.
Encouraging MSMEs throughout the region to take advantage of the program, DTI-6 emphasized its commitment to making business opportunities more accessible.
