MANILA — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. assured the public that government services will remain uninterrupted despite the country’s ongoing energy crisis, stressing that essential programs must not be paralyzed amid power challenges.
In a video message released on social media, Marcos emphasized that governance must continue even as the administration grapples with energy-related concerns affecting multiple sectors.
“Kahit mabigat ang krisis natin sa enerhiya, ang trabaho ng gobyerno ay hindi maaaring doon lang tumigil,” Marcos said.
“Hindi natin hahayaang maparalisa ang serbisyong binibigay ng gobyerno, anuman ang problemang hinaharap,” he added.
The President said government operations will proceed across key sectors, including infrastructure, healthcare, education, public safety, and support for culture, sports, and tourism.
His remarks coincided with the rollout of the administration’s flagship housing initiative, the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Program (4PH), which was highlighted in the nearly three-minute video.
The clip featured ongoing housing developments, testimonials from beneficiaries, and footage of Marcos’ recent visit to project sites in Pampanga.
“Ano man ang problemang hinaharap, patuloy ang trabaho at serbisyo ng gobyerno. Sa gitna ng krisis sa enerhiya, tuloy-tuloy ang paghahatid ng mga programang nagbibigay ng pag-asa, lalo na sa pabahay para sa bawat pamilyang Pilipino,” the video’s caption read.
Marcos reiterated the administration’s commitment to addressing the country’s housing backlog and expanding access to shelter.
“‘Yung mga kulang na bahay ay gagawa natin ng paraan. Upang lahat ng nangangailangan ng pabahay ay gagawan natin,” he said./PN
