GUIMARAS — The Provincial Government of Guimaras has adopted a four-day compressed workweek in compliance with Presidential Memorandum Circular No. 114, Series of 2026.
In a public advisory, the provincial government under the leadership of Governor Lucille Nava informed employees and clients transacting with the provincial offices that the new work arrangement took effect on Monday, March 9.
Under the scheme, office hours are set from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Thursday.
However, several offices are exempted from the arrangement to ensure the continuous delivery of essential public services. These include offices handling public health and medical services, disaster risk reduction and emergency response, the Provincial Law Enforcement and Public Safety (PLEPS) Task Force, and other frontline offices serving the public.
Other offices that may require uninterrupted operations may also be excluded from the schedule, as determined by the Office of the Governor.
