GUIMARAS – A suspicious pink shoulder bag found at the entrance of the new capitol, the Guimaras Governance Center, in Jordan town around 9:30 a.m. yesterday morning caused alarm and panic to the provincial government employees as well as residents having transactions therein.
Officers of the Jordan Municipal Police Station (MPS) immediately responded to the scene and examined the bag.
According to Captain Ma. Jona Casono, chief of the Jordan MPS, the bag yielded replicas of gun and grenade. It also contained ball cap, perfume and clothes.
As of this writing, Jordan MPS’ investigation was ongoing to identify the owner of the bag and to determine whether it was left intentionally or accidentally.
Casono further assured Guimarasnons as well as the visitors that the capitol and any place across the island province are safe and secured./PN
