BACOLOD City – An unidentified gunman shot a resident of Barangay Culipapa, Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental.
Forty-eight-year-old Ulysses Mahinay succumbed to a gunshot wound on the head.
According to his stepson Niel Adrian Memuela, Mahinay was sitting on his motorcycle parked in front of his house when attacked.
The gunman was riding a motorcycle.
Responding policemen recovered from the crime scene a spent bullet shell of a .45 handgun.
Mahinay was brought by the Municipal Rescue Team to the Eleuterio T. Decena Memorial Hospital where he was officially pronounced dead.
As this was being written no suspect had been named yet by the police.
