BACOLOD City – All office transactions at the Bacolod City Government Center will only be until 12 noon today, October 31, following the Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 67, signed and issued by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on October 22.
According to City Administrator Lucille Gelvolea, the MC stated, “In order to provide government employees full opportunity to properly observe traditional All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day activities, work in government offices and classes at all levels will be suspended on October. 31, starting 12 p.m., to allow them to travel to and from different regions in the country.”
Following this, Gelvolea said Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez issued a memorandum adapting the aforementioned MC.
Meanwhile, the suspension of work for private companies and offices is left to the discretion of their respective heads.
November 1, Friday, is declared a special non-working holiday in observance of All Saints’ Day./PN
