SAN JOSE, Antique – A man hacked to death his sister in Barangay Funda, Hamtic, Antique.
The 21-year-old Quennie Geronimo bore several hack wounds on the body. Her skull also broke, resulting to her death, police said.
Police identified the suspect as Quennie’s 24-year-old brother Paul Vincent, who the police said has a mental disorder.
Paul Vincent also attacked their mother, the 52-year-old Inocencia.
Inocencia sustained hack wounds in both hands and was currently confined at the Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital in San Jose town for treatment.
Initial investigation showed that the Geronimos were at their house on Sunday when Paul Vincent went berserk and attacked her sister and mother.
Quennie tried to escape but Paul Vincent chased her. She then tripped at the beach area near their house – that was where Paul Vincent repeatedly hacked her.
Police officers responded to the village and arrested Paul Vincent, who is now detained at the municipal police station’s lockup facility.
