ILOILO City – An angry barangay captain hit a man on the face – not once, but twice.
Fifty-two-year-old Joemarie Dusaban of of Brgy. Bonifacio, Arevalo district identified his attacker as Allan Macazar, barangay captain of Bonifacio.
The assault left his mouth swollen, bleeding and painful, Dusaban complained to the Arevalo police station.
Dusaban said he was standing under a shed waiting to catch a ride when a Starex van stopped in front of him.
Macazar alighted from the van and confronted him, said Dusaban.
“Gindakop mo gid si utol, wala mo gid ginpasensya,” Dusaban quoted Macazar as telling him.
All of a sudden, said Dusaban, the barangay captain hit him on the face twice.
Macazar then left.
The barangay captain could not be reached for comment as of press time.
It was unclear why Dusaban arrested Macazar’s brother./PN
