HEART Evangelista and John Prats have officially reunited on set as they kicked off filming for their reunion movie slated for release in February 2027.
Cornerstone Studios gave a glimpse of the first day of shooting through its social media pages on Nov. 5.
“After 23 years, JoHeart is finally back together for their first solo movie! The cameras are officially rolling, and a brand-new JoHeart love story is on its way to the big screen,” the caption reads, along with the hashtag “JoHeartAllOverAgain.”
The production company also expressed its gratitude to the pair’s fans after their filming teaser received overwhelming support.
“More than 1 MILLION VIEWS in less than 24 hours! Salamat sa umaapaw na excitement at pagmamahal! Ito na ang pagbabalik na matagal nating hinintay at siguradong worth it balik-balikan,” it said.
Evangelista and Prats’ reunion film, whose title has yet to be announced, is written by Angel Tomas and executive produced by Jeffrey Vadillo of Cornerstone Studios. Irene Villamor serves as the creative producer, while Prats takes the director’s chair.
Evangelista and Prats, who also dated in real life, first became an on-screen pair in the youth-oriented series “G-mik” before starring in films such as “My First Romance” and “Tanging Ina.”
The pair first reunited last March for an episode of the actress-fashion influencer’s reality show “Heart World” season 2. They also starred as old flames in the music video of TJ Monterde’s song “Teka Lang,” released in May. (Anne Pasajol © Philippine Daily Inquirer)
