ILOILO City – The man found dead with gunshot wounds on the head and chest in Barangay Hibao-an, Pavia, Iloilo has remained unidentified.
Since August 3 when the man was found in a canal along the circumferential road, two families checked him out at a funeral parlor but they said he was not the missing relative they were looking for.
Residents nearby said they heard three bursts of gunfire the night (August 3) before the body was found.
According to PO3 Jan-Jan Serra of the Pavia police station, the man may have been deliberately brought to Barangay Hibao-an. The victim was not a resident of the village as none in the barangay knew him.
There could have been at least two suspects, Serra added.
Pavia police recovered three empty shells of a .9mm pistol near the man who was estimated to be between 25 to 30 years old.
The man was wearing a blue t-shirt printed with the words “Hard Rock Café Kuala Lumpur”, a pair of jeans and brown shoes.
He was 5 feet, 3 inches in height./PN
