High-value drug target falls in Bolilao buy-bust

ILOILO City – A buy-bust operation of the police in Barangay Bolilao, Mandurriao district netted a high-value drug suspect around 12:35 a.m. on Wednesday.

The 35-year-old Erlinjun Suplico was taken to the Mandurriao police station after an undercover police officer bought from her a sachet of shabu for P500.

Four more sachets with a total street value of P20,000 were recovered from her possession, said Chief Inspector Engelbert Banquillo, Mandurriao police chief.

Suplico, a suspected down line of slain drug lord Richard Prevendido, voluntarily turned herself in to the police in 2016, said Banquillo.

“We received information that she resumed drug trading,” said Superintendent Rogen Morales, commander of the Iloilo City Police Office’s drug enforcement unit that conducted the buy-bust after more than a week of trying to seal a deal with the suspect.

Morales said Suplico’s shabu source was Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao.
Suplico faces a charge for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
