ILOILO — Operatives of the Estancia Municipal Police Station (MPS) arrested a 29-year-old high-value drug suspect following a predawn buy-bust operation in Barangay Tacbuyan, Estancia town.
Alias “Jison,” a resident of the town’s Barangay Pa-on, was caught at around 1:40 a.m. on October 16 after yielding approximately 153 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P2 million.
Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) director Colonel Bayani M. Razalan commended the Station Drug Enforcement Team of the Estancia MPS, under the leadership of officer-in-charge Lieutenant Adrian Baligod, for the successful operation, reiterating the provincial police force’s commitment to dismantling drug trade networks across the province.
“We will sustain our intelligence-driven and coordinated efforts to pursue drug personalities, bring them before the courts, and ensure the safety of communities across Iloilo province,” Razalan stated.
The suspect remains under the custody of the Estancia MPS and will face formal charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
