Capiz – Around 85 grams of suspected shabu valued at P578,600 were seized from a high-value suspect in Barangay Bago Chiquito, Panay town.
Alias “Epeng” was arrested around 4:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 19.
Joint operatives of the Panay Municipal Police Station (MPS), Maayon MPS, Panitan MPS, and Capiz Police Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit carried out the operation. The suspect handed over a sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer in exchange for P100.
Police confiscated a total of 17 sachets of suspected shabu, P19,500 boodle money, a red coin purse, and a motorcycle.
Epeng was detained at the Panay MPS. He will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Police Brigadier General Sidney N. Villaflor, director of Police Regional Office 6, yesterday lauded the operating units for a job well done.
“Muli na naman po nating napatunayan ang kahalagahan ng pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan para sa tagumpay ng bawat operasyon,” said Villaflor./PN
