BACOLOD City – A drunken man was hacked to death in Barangay Marcelo, Calatrava, Negros Occidental.
The 33-year-old resident Jemril Gonzaga sustained hack wounds on the neck, a police report showed.
According to police investigators, Gonzaga was on his way home from a birthday party when an unidentified suspect hacked him around 7:30 p.m. on Jan 3.
He was found lifeless on Jan. 4, the report added.
Prior to the incident, police said a certain “Tokyo Fernando” helped Gonzaga when the latter fell on the road for being drunk.
Officers of the Calatrava municipal police station have yet to identify the suspect and the motive in the incident. They said “Tokyo Fernando” will be invited in the police station to help shed light into the investigation./PN
