Hua Siong caging center joins UE Junior Warriors

Jesse Sullano promises to do his best to help UE Junior Warriors avoid another disastrous UAAP basketball finish.

AFTER Mark Nonoy and Jean Raven Beliran’s commitment to University of Santo Tomas, another player from Hua Siong College of Iloilo was set to transfer to Manila.

The 6-foot-4 center Jesse Sullano will be moving to University of the East Junior Warriors for the upcoming UAAP Season, Hua Siong head coach Vincent Conlu told Panay News.

“Jesse (Sullano) will be playing for the UE Juniors basketball team next season,” Conlu said. “We chose UE because sila ang unang nag-offer kay Jesse to play in Manila, and I know he will fit there.”

The Santa Barbara, Iloilo native will formalize his move after representing Western Visayas in the 2018 Palarong Pambansa in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, said Conlu.

Sullano said the opportunity makes him ecstatic.

He promised to do his best to help the team avoid another disastrous UAAP basketball finish.

Nagpapasalamat ako sa tiwalang ibinigay nila sa akin,” Sullano said. “Ang maipapangako ko lang ay I will give my best para makatulong sa team and also improve my game.”

Sullano will join fellow Western Visayas-based players in Juniors Warriors squad – Shane Dichoso (Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental), Joshua Lopez (Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental), John Almacen (La Carlota City, Negros Occidental), Jared Tajonera (Bacolod City), and Darvin Policarpio (Ibajay, Aklan)./PN
