BACOLOD City – Seven persons were caught engaging in illegal cockfighting in Barangay Tan-awan, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
Police recovered two game fowls, gaffs and P510 bet money from the suspects around 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 14.
Detained in the Kabankalan City police station were Christian Philip Padaysay, Christian Coruña, Carl Andrei Aspan, Robert Moleta, Joey Escote, Alfred Vijante, and Jerry Moldeco, a police report showed.
Charges for violation of Presidential Decree 449 (Cockfighting Law of 1974) would be filed against them./PN
