Iloilo City gov’t women pampered with beauty treats as Women’s Month ends

ILOILO City – The city government concluded the National Women’s Month celebration by pampering its women and LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer) employees with beauty treats.

They were treated to free massages, pedicures, manicures and haircut.

According to Mayor Jerry Treñas, these were unique ways to honor and appreciate women and LGBTQ employees who work hard to serve the people of lloilo City.

Some 600 employees benefitted from the beauty treats.

“Saludo gid ako sa ila mga sakripisyo. Nagapasalamat gid ako sa ila nga pagsuporta sa akon kawsa,” said Treñas.

According to Matilde Treñas, the city mayor’s executive assistant and at the same time administrator of the Technical Institute of Iloilo City (TIIC), the activity was led by the City Population Office and city government’s Gender and development (GAD) Team in partnership with the City Population Office and Philippine Army.

Among those who rendered their services during the activity were graduates of TIIC skills training./PN
